Simpler Proofs
Privacy Policy
Draft for review. Last updated: May 11, 2026.
This page is a static v2 draft for Simpler Proofs. It is not a substitute for legal review before deployment, Shopify App Store submission, or production use.
Information we collect
- Account contact details such as name, email address, and business name when a merchant creates an account.
- Order and proof workflow data needed to provide the service, including order identifiers, customer contact fields supplied by the merchant platform, proof files, comments, statuses, and approval timestamps.
- Technical data such as device, browser, log, and security event information used to operate and protect the service.
How we use information
- We use information to provide proof review links, send proof-related notifications, maintain approval history, support merchants, and improve reliability.
- We do not use merchant customer data for unrelated advertising or sell personal information.
- Shopify order data, when enabled, is used for proof workflow context and is limited to the app functionality requested by the merchant.
Sharing and processors
- We share information with service providers only as needed for hosting, database storage, email delivery, security, support, and payment or platform operations.
- Processors may include hosting, database, email, analytics, and commerce platform providers depending on the merchant configuration.
Retention and deletion
- We retain account, order, proof, and approval records while an account is active and as needed for legal, security, and operational requirements.
- Merchants may request deletion or export through support. Shopify GDPR requests are handled through the app GDPR route once the public app is approved and configured.
Security
- We use access controls, HTTPS, provider-level storage protections, and operational monitoring to protect service data.
- No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Merchants should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information into proof assets or comments.
Your choices
- Merchants can contact support to access, correct, export, or delete account data, subject to legal and operational limits.
- Customers whose information was provided by a merchant should contact that merchant first or contact Simpler Proofs support for routing help.
